this was moved to right forum please place in support forum if you need support so you can receive quicker response. reetesh message: hello ... i got a script problem .. im using a SMF buit forum ... hosted on awardspace... and i'm trying to use the SHOUTBOX feature ... but its not being loaded... I installed the packsge .. and when i go to the index of site ... it automaticslly redirects to awardspace.com and displays the message " no Sbox.php (or something like that ) file found on sources irectory " but when i check ..the file is already on the same directory ... i'm confused what to do ..... I've checked the newsfader script .. and im gonna use it .. thanks... but if.. i can have some common featuers .. then its more good.. my site is also a new one hosted with awardspace... and am lookin 4ward to learn.. many things form u all ... thank u again reetesh

glad you like script. that is why we are here. If you need a script request it. Shout boxes are simply layers that appear. you might not have installed right or it might violate a AS security feature. please give ur to site so we can check it out..

Yes sure .. its reetesh.com.np hosted on awardspace not much long... recently yea ... i also thought it wasn't installed successfully... but i'm trying the same thing in my localserver i.e localhost ... and it works fine the SHOUTBO... i also .. think that it may be violating any feature.. well.. thanks for ur support ..

if you were on paid account i do think you'd be fine. however i can't guarentee. i'll have an admin from AS respond.

If you want a good shoutbox, you might try my chat script. It works the same, but it also auto-refreshes. That way, your users don't have to press a "refresh" button to see any new messages.

thanks .. i'm looking 4ward towards your chat script also .. but i'm not familiar with proper handeling of the scripts ... so have to figure it out properly before uploading it.

hello. scripts ussauly can be ran by themselves in a file (php,cgi,html,etc) or be added within you code . html script in body and head tags and php wherever

If you go to the download page, it's in an EXE file that tels you how to install it.

the exe file is invalid at the moment. Php should be working to figure out why...

Nope, I upgraded to Vista. I think it's the highest edition too. I'm so happy. Anyway, I'm using firefox. Try it from there.
